“Full of Fatty Goodness”

Drift LLC founder and owner, Rachel Pizzino, a New Zealand Permanent Resident and overall enthusiast, returns to Milwaukee to share New Zealand cafe and mobile food culture.  We are all about the pies, flat whites and afghan biscuits!

Rachel, discovered her passion for baking at a young age and knew straight away that owning a bake house was something she wanted for the future.  After graduating from Iowa State University with a B.S. Business Marketing, she worked as an IT Consultant.  With a deep love and passion for travel, she lived in the Swansea, Wales; before finally settling in New Zealand for nearly eight years.

With New Zealand’s culture big into sand & surf and coffee & pies; Rachel knew she wanted to combine her favourite ideals into an open-air pill-box campervan that serves up wholesome and hearty pies; complimented with a flat white coffee and biscuit (cookie).

She returned to Milwaukee and knew that a change in career was a must, so in 2016 she started to plan Drift.  She worked tirelessly with a local designer to build her custom food truck from the ground up and plan her menu. Her inspiration was pulled from the surf beaches, that so often had open-air caravan’s transformed into mobile cafes that serces espresso, savory hand pie and salads, and desserts. 

Drift is in its third year ready to serve Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and the Midwest. We are a mobile cafe that will be in and around the Third Ward, Downtown and East Side. We’re available for catering, special events, private parties, and wholesale (Midwest Region). We travel generally within a 2 hour region.
